At Park City Credit Union, we are dedicated to celebrating all of life’s special moments. Whatever you have in your life at this very moment, be grateful for it. Our financial products and services are aimed at improving your quality of life.
Our mission is simple. We help our members fulfill their dreams while serving our communities.
Celebrating Life. Celebrating You.
That’s what we do.
Park City is a member-owned financial cooperative providing financial services to more than 20,000 members who live, work or own land in Forest, Iron, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Oneida, Price, Rusk, Taylor or Vilas counties.
Credit unions are member owned, so we’re not attempting to generate profit for investors. The earnings of a credit union, after expenses and reserves, are returned to members in the form of competitive dividends on savings, low-cost loans, and low-cost services, which allows everyone an opportunity to achieve their financial goals.
|Return earnings to members through lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and free or low-cost services||Return profits to a small group of stockholders at the expense of their customers|
|Make loans to members only – this rewards the membership, and keeps capital in the community||Return profits to a small group of stockholders at the expense of their customers|
|All members are owners – each person who deposits money has a share of the ownership||Often make loans to strategically advantageous outside borowers, including foreign countries and enterprises|
|Membership elects the board of directors||Customers have no right of ownership|
|Serve only those within their membership pool||Profit driven – primary focus is on building vast wealth|
|Believe honest competition benefits all consumers||Try to eliminate competition through legislative lobbying and lawsuits|
Park City Credit Union was formed in 1938. The original name was Cooperative League Credit Union. The name was changed September 28, 1971, to Park City Credit Union.
The Tomahawk office opened February 16, 1973, and the Minocqua office opened December 5, 1979. On August 1, 2005, we added the Rhinelander location. We opened two branches inside grocery stores – Nelson’s County Market in Tomahawk (2014) and the Dave’s County Market in Merrill (2015).
In 2010 Park City purchased land in anticipation of growth and development to relocate its headquarters in Merrill. On August 13, 2018, Park City opened a new 26,000-square-foot headquarters in Merrill, which includes a full-service branch, mortgage center, a 100-seat community room, Park City Investment Center and coffee shop.
