Park City Credit Union Not Affected By Heartbleed Bug

With our continual focus on the security of our member information and private member data, Park City Credit Union was not affected by the latest, "Heartbleed Bug." We have multiple security layers in place to protect our members' data against threats similar to the Heartbleed Bug. Security of member data and personal member information remains the highest priority for Park City Credit Union, and will remain a key focus as we continue to expand our membership.

On April 7th, a security vulnerability was discovered called the "Heartbleed Bug." It affected encryption across the Internet. The Heartbleed vulnerability affected specific versions of the very popular OpenSSL encryption software. After learning of the OpenSSL Heartbleed vulnerability, Park City Credit Union immediately began verification that our systems and data were not exposed. We also contacted key business and service partners for their exposed risk, if any. After a thorough review, Park City Credit Union confirmed that our systems were not affected and that member data and personal member information was not compromised or exposed. In addition, Park City Credit Union also confirmed that our key business and service partners also had no exposure to this vulnerability.

Park City Credit Union values its members and takes great lengths to ensure the security of their private information. We continually monitor our systems to protect our data from threats such as this one. We want to ensure you that while your data is secure, we encourage you to change your online banking login information. Park City Credit Union recommends continually updating your login information as another safeguard to protect your account information.

What is a "Cash Mob"?

A "Cash Mob" is when a large group of community members patronize a specific business at a specific time to support a locally owned business.

How do I know when and where these "Cash Mobs" are taking place?

Watch for "Cash Mob" locations, dates, times, and special offers* at throughout October.

Your participation will help support a locally owned business. You can also register to win a $25 gift certificate** to the "Cash Mob" business, which will be given away at the end of each "Cash Mob." Park City Credit Union will also be donating $1 for every person who shops during the "Cash Mob" to Kinship of Tomahawk or Haven of Lincoln County.

What businesses are involved, when should I visit them, and what specials are they offering?

Visit the "Cash Mobs" for a Cause page.
